Today my nephew came home, with two red gashes on his face! Apparently he had bumped (accidentally he says) into another boy earlier. Then while my nephew was in conversation with a friend, this other boy came up, pulled my nephew's cheek and scratched him. 
I advised his mum to visit the school teacher, and ensure both boys apologised to each other so that they can put the issue behind them and move on.
I would call it part of growing up.
Later while speaking with his teacher, his mum was told that the other boy had some violent tendencies.
Of course, such behaviour can't just be explained away like that.
We will be monitoring the situation. Feedback on this is welcome :(

My nephew's mother wanted him to talk about it to avoid the incident being a repressed memory. It appears that the boy who inflicted the injury was not in fact the boy who was bumped into. It was a third boy who thought my nephew caused the bump purposely.
Whatever the actual sequence of events, I feel the teacher should use the incident and turn it into an instructive lesson and a learning opportunity for all the kids involved. Educate them about consideration, and peaceful conflict resolution and not resort to a form of gangsterism.

Maybe your nephew said that another boy 'accidentaly' bumped into another boy but Ill bet it was not. who knows... it might b another case of bullying so maybe u should find out b4 sought out the boy wh's innocent...

I was bullied before when I'm in primary 4.the bullie knocked me onto the locker handle.He did it for fun.Its like he just came and push me when i did not do anything to him.
