onSponge interviewed Jason Yap, the owner of Green Bean, a tuition centre that offers secondary school students a greater flexibility with timeslots and tutors that journey with the student at their own pace.

PRIMARY school users of ThinkingMath@onSponge books participated in a workshop to help them better apply the key strategies used in the books. All seats were sold and we apologise to many on the waitlist.  Children from primary 3 to 6 attended the sessions held at Goldhill Plaza in the first half of the June school holidays.

A POSITIVE attitude towards learning and an inspiring instructor who goes beyond tutoring to cover basic life skills kept Sherlyn Koh returning to her Green Bean tuition centre for secondary students for the three years she was attached there. She progressed from low interest in mathematics, inability to concentrate on her studies and general lack of motivation, to a determined and focused individual who learned that she had a passion for mathematics.

I AM sure you remember the TV programme "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?". Like me, I'm sure you were surprised to learn that quite a bit of stuff that we thought was correct was, as it turned out, wrong.
