With the academic year coming to a close, your child should be confidently grounded in most mathematical concepts from topics to heuristics, strategies and mark-scoring techniques. Yet, when tested, you might notice some nagging mistakes where the causes are difficult to pinpoint and naturally hard to rectify.
A mere tick or cross to your child’s work is not sufficient to understand the basis for the error. All mistakes made are opportunities to investigate the cause in order to get clearer explanation and build further competency.
The onSponge PSLE Mock Paper 2 Assessment conducted in July gave us the opportunity to observe some of the common mistakes made by the cohort of more than 500 students from about 90 schools. What better way to share our findings than to publish it so your child can avoid them in all exams!
