The school holidays are here again. I have been looking for relevant holiday activities and programmes that we can consider engaging with our kids. Specifically day/night outings.

One item that has caught my eye is the free-admission Astro Night at our Science Centre on Friday, 29 May. It is being held at the Omni-Theatre starting from 7pm till 11pm.

Visitors will get an educational booklet containing information about astronomy like the solar system, star charts, eclipses, upcoming sky events, and tips about using a telescope to observe the night sky.

For young children, I understand that there would a guided planetarium tour and interactive activities involving star gazing, baby rockets, the solar system and on making a simple telescope.

For the older kids, telescopes will be set up for stargazing. Now let's hope the weather is fine and skies are clear!

Check out other family fun activities this June.
