Here's a year round treat for Mum...create a cosy nook for her to unwind whenever she wants to, surrounded by her favourite things.
A short description about your blog
As parents we expect alot from our kids. I'm no exception....good grades a must. I was like a fiend when Nicholas was in Primary school. I remember the first test results he brought home. All excited and happy, this bespectacled kid waving his test paper like crazy. However, it fell short of my expectations but like a good Mummy, I pulled a wide plastic grin and said, 'That's VERY good!' Muack!
I had been working on a tissue box cover as part of a commission recently. As straightforward as that may seem, I was stumped for ideas. It wasn't about the how-to but more of the desired look I needed to achieve. Two days on and I still had no ideas....this was pathetic to say the least!
Go green...in colour!
I've decided this year that I'll go green with my gift wrapping. In this context, I present a few examples of ideas that I hope will inspire you to give it a try! Using recycled materials doesn't have to be the ubiquitous twine and brown paper. I'd like to show you how to glam it up without having to spend a bomb on gift wrap. Best of all everything you need may well be right under your roof, the limits being your own imagination. Be inspired!
HI! I'm Angelina, homemaker and mum to a wonderful 13 year old son. Aside from the house chores and the usual mum stuff, I'm always thinking of ways to improve my home - be it adding shelves to reorganize my cupboards, sewing a new set of covers for the throw cushions (hence setting a whole new look) or updating a favourite chair by sawing it (yes, I'm a regular Jill of all trades!) to more pleasing proportions and reupholstering it.
