Hmmm...My ans is 4-yelling...Heard is a verb-action verb and Mr Tan is a noun...Rules always apply on that question.Ans must be yell or yelling.Read the question out loud with yell or yelling see which one is much better.

u know that in front have past tense then behind cannot use back past tense? Therefore ,(2) is wrong and i think is also both (1) and (4).

I heard Mr Tan ____________ at his pupils just now.

(1) yell
(2) yells
(3) yelled
(4) yelling

Can anyone explain which is the correct answer ? I have two answer for this question either (1) yell or (4) yelling. Which is the most appropriate one.

Since the question mention "just now" , why cannot use yelled.

Thank you

Ans: (1)

Reason: Whenever you occur the word the five senses, heard, smelt, felt, tasted or saw, after the word must be in present tense without ING or S

Oh yah, if (4) then supposed to be "is yelling"

If (3)then there will be no "just now"

If (2) we don't say mr tan yells to his pupils because his pupils is many.
