Monday collected 80% => 40L
Used 85% => 85% x 40L = 34L
Left => 40L - 34L = 6L

Tuesday collected 42L

Rainwater collected on Monday = 80/100x50 = 40L
After 85% of the rainwater was used, 15% of the rainwater was left = 15/100x40= 6L
On Tuesday, additional 42L of water was collected.
Total amount of water in tank = 42L+6L = 48L

(a) There are 48L of water in the tank after the collection of rainwater on Tuesday.

Increase = (42-40)L = 2L
2/40x100% = 5%
(b)The percentage increase in the rainwater that was collected over the 2 days was 5%.

4(12u)=23u+300
48u=23u+300
25u=300
u=12

K:23u+300 = 23(12)+300 = $576
S:12u = 12(12) = $144

a) Number of days that Sunny took to spend all his money = 144÷12= 12

Difference = $(576-144) = $432
b) Kevin had $432 more than Sunny at first.
