Lillian, Siti and Janet shared $165. Lillian had $K more than Siti and twice as much as Janet.
a) How much does Siti have in terms of K?
Part a) of this question does not require to find out the answer in dollars and cents. Instead it wants the student to be able to represent the answer in terms of "K". This is similar to the example given in Chapter 8 on page 120, where they are solving, at first, with an "x" in the solution. Only for part b) do we include the actual value for "X" or "K" as for this specific question. I have given the same solution, with more details.
