Jimmy's guppies were growing fast.In the first 5 days,they had eaten 300 worms.If each day they ate 10 more worms then the previous day,what was the total number of worms eaten in the first 4 days?

Day 1 [Initial amt]
Day 2 [Initial amt][10]
Day 3 [Initial amt][10[[10]
Day 4 [Initial amt][10][10][10]
Day 5 [Initial amt][10][10][10][10]

5x Initial amount -> 500-100 = 400
Initial amount = 400/5 =80
4x80=320
320+60 = 380 (Ans)

Just a small typing error, however, the process is correct ....

Brandon just change the 500 to 300 in the solution
5x Initial amount -> 300-100 = 200
Initial amount = 200/5 =40
4x40=160
160+60 = 220 (Ans)

Checking the answer ....
On the 5th day --> 220 + (40+10x4) = 220+80 = 300

OOps. went through too quickly mistook overall figure for 5 days as 500.
