I need help in this question!!!
Question:
2/5 of Raju's money is equal to 1 whole 1/2 of Carl's money. When Raju spent $450 and Carl received $120, the ratio of Raju's money to Carl's money became 5:2. How much money did Raju have at first?

2/5 of Raju's money = 3/2 of Carl's money
2R/5=3C/2
Make both numerators to be the same,
6R/15=6C/4
So, at first Raju has 15 units and Carl has 4 units

Raja : Carl
15 units-450 : 4 units+120
5 : 2

2(15 units-450)= 5(4 units+120)
30 units-900 = 20 units+600
10 units = 1500
1 unit = 150

At first, Raju has 15 units = 15x$150= $2250

Thanks for your helpful remainder.Here's the 5-mark RGPS 2009 P6 Prelim Paper 2 Q18:

At first, 25% of Kumar's money was the same as 33⅓% of Lily's money.
Lily's father gave her $80 later, while Kumar spent $325.
In the end, Lily had 2½ times as much money as Kumar.
(a) How much money did Kumar have at first?
(b) How much money did Lily have in the end?
