Can you help me with the follwing question? A skirt cost $60. A blouse cost 25% less. Betty paid $2220 for some skirts and blouses. 70% of the clothing she bought were shirts. how much did she pay for the shirt? I got the answer $1680. I have used guss and check method. Is the method correct? Is there any other method to do it?

The soloution is : To find out how much is a blouse>$60x75/100=$45 1 skirt + 1blouse> $60 +$45= $105 Then do a guess n check like wat u did and the ans is 1680 same! I think u are correct ,um sorry i dont know any other methods. I think u made a typo mistake with SHIRT and SKIRT.

A shirt cost $60. A blouse cost 25% less. Betty paid $2220 for some shirts and blouses. 70% of the clothing she bought were shirts. how much did she pay for the shirts? For this question, once you find the cost of a blouse you can use Number x Value.
