I tried solving these 2 questions but I can't. Not even my tuition teacher knows how to.

1)The volume of water in Bottle P was 3/5 of that in Bottle Q. After
60ml of water was added to Bottle P and 20ml was poured away from
Bottle Q, the amount of water in Bottle P was 3/4 that in Bottle Q.
What was the amount in each bottle at first?

2)In a swimming school of 4 students, 1/8 of the girls passed the
swimming test and 4/5 of the boys passed the swimming test. A total
of 24 students passed the swimming test. How many girls failed the test?

For this question everything changes so we use the External Changed Concept found in your P5 & P6 +hinkingMath book. See the solution here

This question has been asked a couple of times. Here is the most recent thread.
