Sorry I am unable to draw the figure for Q12. Anyway, given that


Fig 1 Area of fig: 6
Fig 2 Area of fig: 10
Fig 3 Area of fig: 16
Fig 4 Area of fig: 24

(c) Find the area of figure 100.
Ans: 10104.

Formula: n²+n+4
Figure 100 -> 100²+100+4 = 10000+100+4 = 10104
(c) Area of figure 100 = 10104 cm²

Thank you so much for your super fast reply! How do you derive that formula? Please enlighten me. If

Fig 1, no. of squares =1 , total squares is 1
Fig 2, no. of squares = 1 + 5, total squares is 6
Fig 3, no. of squares = 1 + 5 + 9, total squares is 15
Fig 4, no. of squares = 1 + 5 + 9 + 13, total squares is 28

what would the formula be?
