Please help.

Q1. Which one of the following illustrates the correct sequence in which plants lose excess water through the leaves?

(1) Root hairs --> leaf veins --> xylem vessels --> stomata

(2) Root hairs --> xylem vessels --> leaf veins --> stomata

(3) Root hairs --> stomata --> xylem vessels --> leaf veins

(4) Root hairs --> leaf veins --> stomata --> xylem vessels

Q2. The diagram shows the side view of water molecules exiting a stoma.

Why do plants have to waste all these water that they take in?

A: To prevent the plants to uptake nutrients.

B: To allow the plant to be cooled down as the water evaporates.

C: To allow carbon dioxide to enter the leaves.

D: To allow the plants to take in even more water.

(1) All except A.

(2) All except B.

(3) All except C.

(4) All except D.

Q3. Which direction does the food (sugars) manufactured in the leaves flow?

(1) Up only

(2) Down only

(3) Up and down only

(4) Up, down and sideways

TIA.

Q1

Its definitely (2), if the plants lose water through the leaves, the last part of the process has to be a stomata!

Q2

I haven't the slightest idea...(sigh)

Q3

I think it's (4).....

I might not be right!

i think Q1 is(2)as the last part for the water to leave the leaf is leaf veins than stomata.
Q2
is (3)(not to sure)
Q3
also (3)as the food can move upwards and downwards, only the water is upwards

Q1 ans 2 as the root hairs will suck the water to xylem tube and than the vain and than the stomata
Q2 ans 2 as the plant nutrients will be diluted. The water will block the carbon dioxide to enter and lastly the plant should change the water like refilling the water and pour away the old ones
Q3 ans 4 as the surgar need to travel from the leaves to everywhere of the plant like branches and their stem.
