Hi,

Not sure if this is a trick question or perhaps I have some of it wrong as I didn't know all of the organisms breathing methods off hand and did a little research. From what I can find 1,2,3 and 4 are all correct. Interestingly, the Mudskipper can breathe different ways depending on its location (i.e. in water or on land).

If I had to guess at one answer I would choose 2 through process of elimination.
- by choosing 1 (Mudskipper & Dragonfly nymph) means I must also choose 4.
- by choosing 2 (Water Scorpion & Water Stick Insect) means I must also choose 3 & 4.
- by choosing 1 (Great Diving Beetle & Backswimmer) means I must also choose 3.
Choosing 2 (Tubiflex worms & Mudskipper) is the only one that does not force me to choose another answer at the same time.

Hi Chris
You are right to say that mudskippers can breathe through two ways. From i-science P4, pg 67, we learned that mudskippers can also breathe through their skins by keeping it damp. They can also breathe by holding water in their mouths and gill chambers.
