Carbon dioxide is given out during respiration while being used for photosynthesis.
Oxygen is needed for respiration while produced during photosynthesis.

And there's something about respiration and photosynthesis of plants you must know. Respiration takes place throughout the day while photosynthesis takes place only when sunlight is present.
But in the day, the oxygen given out in the process of photosynthesis is more than the oxygen being taken in through respiration.

yes it does. when plants photosynthesises, it will change carbon dioxide and water into glucose(sugar) and oxygen. Hope that these facts can help u to understand better.
